What great Faith
Mar 5:25 And a certain woman, which had an issue of blood twelve years, Mar 5:26 And had suffered many things of many physicians, and had spent all that she had, and was nothing bettered, but rather grew worse, Mar 5:27 When she had heard of Jesus, came in the press behind, and touched his garment. Mar 5:28 For she said, If I may touch but his clothes, I shall be whole.
Twelve years she lived with her sickness, but when she heard of Jesus "If I may touch but his clothes, I shall be whole" proves to me that even she understood the simplicity of trusting Christ. It was the Faith that she put in Jesus Christ that healed her.
Mar 5:29 And straightway the fountain of her blood was dried up; and she felt in her body that she was healed of that plague.
We do not know her name but the legacy she left behind is her great Faith in the Lord Jesus.
Mar 5:34 And he said unto her, Daughter, thy faith hath made thee whole; go in peace, and be whole of thy plague.

See what the original Greek word for "whole" meant.
Woah! How interesting. Thanks for sharing this, Carey.
If the Greek word for whole, meant, safe, secure, etc. the words of Jesus are all the more powerful.
Good post.
That just gives a lot more meaning to the Scripture. I love looking words up!
Thanks Matthew.
Yeah, that is really neat, Carey.
What Sarah did not fully say was that she got a chance to witness to one of her colleagues because of a discussion on the subject of the curse, if you know what I mean.
hehe, yes. I was debating which to post, but I shied away from this topic.
But yes, it's happened to me a few times when women complain about you know what, I tell them that it's the curse of the woman and it all goes back to SIN.
LOL, I hate that, don't you?
Yes!!! It really is a curse, lol
*chuckle*
When that happens, I am a wreck. Ask my family.
Oh same here!
Ehem, if I may interject.
Luke 8:43 And a woman having an issue of blood twelve years, which had spent all her living upon physicians, neither could be healed of any,
:44 Came behind him, and touched the BORDER OF HIS GARMENT: and immediately her issue of blood stanched.
Luke 8:46 And Jesus said, Somebody hath touched me: for I perceive that virtue is gone out of me.
I was wondering all about this "border of his garment/ virtue" when I recalled the following
It is like the precious ointment upon the head, that ran down upon the beard, even Aaron's beard: that went DOWN TO THE SKIRTS OF HIS GARMENTS; Psalm 133:2
Aaron anointed was covered down to the skirts of his garments. Jesus filled with Holy Spirit also had virtue down to his clothes. This reminds one of Acts 5:15 and 19:11-12.
Now we know Aaron was a type of Jesus Christ.
Hebrews 5:4 And no man taketh this honour unto himself, but he that is called of God, as was Aaron.
:5 So also Christ glorified not himself to be made an high priest; but he that said unto him, Thou art my Son, to day have I begotten thee.
Now get this
Leviticus 15:25 And if a woman have an issue of her blood many days out of the time of her separation, or if it run beyond the time of her separation; all the days of the issue of her uncleanness shall be as the days of her separation: she shall be unclean.
:26 Every bed whereon she lieth all the days of her issue shall be unto her as the bed of her separation: and whatsoever she sitteth upon shall be unclean, as the uncleanness of her separation.
:27 And whosoever toucheth those things shall be unclean, and shall wash his clothes, and bathe himself in water, and be unclean until the even.
:28 But if she be cleansed of her issue, then she shall number to herself seven days, and after that she shall be clean.
:29 And on the eighth day she shall take unto her two turtles, or two young pigeons, and bring them unto the priest, to the door of the tabernacle of the congregation.
:30 And the priest shall offer the one for a sin offering, and the other for a burnt offering; and the priest shall make an atonement for her before the LORD for the issue of her uncleanness.
That woman was made whole because she believed in Jesus Christ in his office as priest. She had just fulfilled Leviticus 15:25-30 by touching the hem of Jesus' garment!
Talk about Christ being the end of the law of righteousness!
Romans 10:4 For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to every one that believeth.
That sight should have stupefied all Jews who saw it and who knew the law down to the letter.
The same thing happens when Jesus reaches out and touches the leper
given
Leviticus 5:3 Or if he touch the uncleanness of man, whatsoever uncleanness it be that a man shall be defiled withal, and it be hid from him; when he knoweth of it, then he shall be guilty.
and
Leviticus 13:46 All the days wherein the plague shall be in him he shall be defiled; he is unclean: he shall dwell alone; without the camp shall his habitation be.
and notice also that the plague could spread to the garments
Leviticus 13:47 The garment also that the plague of leprosy is in, whether it be a woollen garment, or a linen garment;
:48 Whether it be in the warp, or woof; of linen, or of woollen; whether in a skin, or in any thing made of skin;
You have
Matthew 8:2 And, behold, there came a leper and worshipped him, saying, Lord, if thou wilt, thou canst make me clean.
:3 And Jesus put forth his hand, and touched him, saying, I will; be thou clean. And immediately his leprosy was cleansed.
Now I still don't get the link between Psalm 133's verse 1 and verse 2, but Leviticus 13:46 which you have above could point in a certain direction.
Wow... I never thought about the connection between Lev. 15:25-30 and Mark 5:25-34. That's really cool. Thanks for sharing that, Sarah's brother. (By the way, you have the sweetest mother and sister! You are very blessed.)
Glad you interupted, that's really good!! I never made that connection either.
Carey, thanks, you are adorable and very sweet indeed.
*hugs Sarah*
Indeed I am, and grateful
And we are greatful to you.
Carey, thx for the hug, here's one back to u!
Sarah are you "great"ful or "grate"ful. Think of grated cheese because regular cheese has holes in it.
That was a great study son. Thanks for your input on your sister's blog.
Carey, don't you just love Sarah's lions. I think she is improving technologically speaking.
Haaaaaaaahhhhaa, you are funny, mom. You made me laugh.
Ok, maybe I am improving technologically, but my spelling is questionable.
It's not only a lion, there's a lamb too. Check out Revelation 5:5-6!
And that was a great study by Rev. He also posted it on Pen of iron - Bible studies.
I need binoculars to see the lamb.
*laughs*
ahaha, lol
My eyesight is growing dim or what. I can't even see Carey's face nowadays. Where are those binoculars? Open the light please, somebody.
That is a really dark (not to mention bad) picture of me. When my computer crashed, I lost all my profile pictures (not that they were great, either). Guess I need a new one, but I'm not photogenic. UGH.
Oh, Sorry about that.
I thought you were just playing around with innovative photography methods.
Being photogenic is not important. The beauty of the soul is what matters to me. And let me tell you something, Carey, you have no problem in that area.
I agree with Consecrated, Carey.
You are beautiful and I love that picture. Mom, click on her picture and u will see it better. It's a very nice one.
You are a beatufil girl and have a beautiful soul. I insist Carey, you are one in a million!!!
*sniff* Thanks, you two darlings! That really means a lot to me. *hugs*
